Our Community
Involvement

At Newhaven Funerals, we have a strong and enduring relationship with many local groups across South East Queensland, and we take great pride in supporting our community. We believe in the power of community involvement and have established a staff and company philanthropic fund that enables us to assist numerous charitable organisations such as Angel Flight, SAILS, Youngcare, AATA, Guide Dogs Queensland, the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Arundel Community Hub & Women’s Residential Care, and many others.

We also host Community Funeral Education Sessions presented by industry experts, helping raise awareness and educate the public about funeral planning and services. Our commitment to the community extends to supplying surveillance cameras for Paradise Point Meals on Wheels, ensuring the safety of volunteers and clients.

In partnership with RACQ, we actively contribute to road safety education campaigns aimed at high school students in South East Queensland. These thought-provoking events involve simulated car crashes, with first responders acting out the crucial steps taken at an accident scene, helping to raise awareness about road safety. Additionally, our Drive Safe Billboard Campaign in North Queensland serves as a reminder to always drive safely on the roads. At Newhaven Funerals, we are proud to play an active role in supporting and enhancing the safety and wellbeing of our community.

Community
Outreach

At Newhaven Funerals, our expert funeral directors are dedicated to actively engaging with the community. Each month, they participate in a range of events and activities, from raising awareness for nationally recognised days such as ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day, and Australia Day, to supporting causes like Cancer Council events and Red Nose Day. Our team is committed to giving back, whether through fundraising, making donations, or hosting local events, and we are always looking for ways to make a positive impact on the communities we serve.
