Newhaven Funerals’ point of difference is our exclusive set of qualities that have helped us help families on how to plan a funeral service when faced with the death of a loved one.

Each ceremony is unique to the individual and the needs of their family.

Funerals are likely to be emotionally taxing as many of us are never truly prepared for the death of a loved one.

When tragedy happens, it can be difficult to know where to begin planning for a funeral.

Start by asking yourself “What would my loved one want their service to be like?”

By putting yourself in your loved one’s shoes and taking time to reflect, you will find you have a service that is truly reflective of the life and memory of your loved one.

Pre-Arrangement Meeting

Newhaven Funerals is there for you from the beginning.

Contact our compassionate staff and we will arrange a meeting with you to discuss how you would like the funeral to be.

Our funeral director will ask you to share stories about your loved one, discuss your faith and budget, and explore the many options available to you.

You can choose the location, time, and manner in which you want for your funeral service.

You can also choose the music, prayers, and personal touches you would like to include in remembrance of the deceased.

If you have difficulty choosing, we will gladly assist you with making recommendations based on your needs.

After you have made all the decisions, we will take care of rest.

The Service

Choosing the right location to hold your loved one’s funeral is the first step.

Based on faith or personal preference, you can conduct the service anywhere, from a ceremony at a church or chapel, to a graveside memorial.

Burial or Cremation

While these two methods are different and a matter of choice, you can still have a traditional memorial service if you choose a cremation.

Burials usually entail funeral services with the casket viewing before or during the service. A cremation is no different. You can certainly hold a memorial service, funeral, or remembrance service before the cremation process.
