It has now been 5 months since my Husband, Russell, passed and it has taken me this long to put into words how eternally grateful myself and the family will forever be with the way Lauren handled all our needs from the emotional to financial.
She was the perfect person for you to send out. We are an ‘out there’ type of family, as we didn’t have your run of the mill funeral and we had a lot of special requests and “men in black” suits for one would not have fitted in with our style.
Lauren was more than accommodating with ideas and suggestions, package options offered along with much needed laughs. Her sense of humour and wit gelled with ours immediately and yet simultaneously she conducted herself in the utmost, respectful manner.
She made the loss of my husband, my boys’ father so much easier to cope with and couldn’t have been more supportive. I cannot tell you how highly I speak of Lauren and your company to any person that I feel may have a need for your services.
Down to hers and your professionalism, the beautiful thought of the flowers, the suggestion list of who to contact after Russell passed (government departments, superannuation etc), the follow ups, the grace period given for the account to be paid has made this whole experience so much easier.
I can’t express my appreciation enough for everything that Lauren and Newhaven have done for us and I’m sure in due to the large part because of how Russell’s funeral was arranged and handled, that we are in a far better place than most after this period of time.

Where do we start, as thank you is such a little word compared to our gratitude for your expert care, attention to detail, professionalism and friendliness! These are rare qualities to find in a company nowadays. I know without doubt that we would both be honoured to have you take care of our funerals (which we hope won't be for a long time).
Newhaven holds a special place in my heart.
I've been involved with many, many funerals in my life, far too many. There is a difference between being well looked after and being exceptionally well looked after. Newhaven falls into the latter.
A few years back we lost the woman whom I considered my sister of choice. 32 years of friendship, which tragically ended with a life systematically destroyed, and a death that I'd never want for anyone.
The team at Newhaven were exceptional in their care; of those of us who remained behind, and especially their care of her. Nothing was too much trouble, there was gentle guidance, and given the circumstances it could have been so different.
We literally had floods, travel, coroners and so many other things to content with. And throughout the team steadily moved forward with what I call gentle love. We ended up with a memorial service a few weeks after her death, and truly, it could not have been more beautiful. The little touches, the willingness of the team to go the extra mile, to make a huge difference, and provide a space for grieving and healing.
I can only speak of the entire team at Newhaven with gratitude and love. Thank you for the care you take with all of your clients - the living and the dead.
Not only were the office staff very helpful and friendly, but the after service wake in your memorial gardens gazebo provided the perfect environment to unwind after the service and allowed us to catch up with everyone, whilst the catering staff were lovely to meet and the refreshments were most welcomed.
